Domain EG (registry)

.com.eg registrar in Egypt, read from its own storefront on 2026-09-29

Not on Domain EG's list

Can a member of the public buy a .com.eg here?

Its own page offers .com.eg through a Arabic storefront, but on 2026-09-29 it printed no .com.eg price with its VAT treatment that this site could read, so it is listed on the Egypt page as read and not ranked.

Why it is not ranked

The registry prints .com.eg from 845 EGP per year but states no VAT treatment on the page read (Egypt's rate is 14%), so it is not a comparable standing price.

What its page printed

Arabic price page: .EG Category (.com.eg, .net.eg, .org.eg ...) "يبدأ من 845 ج.م / سنة"; .EG Standard (.eg) "3605 ج.م / سنة"; .EG EDU "12005"; foreign entities "515 USD / Year" for .eg and "361 USD" for .com.eg; "خصم 10% لمدة 3 سنوات - خصم 20% لمدة 5 سنوات". No VAT wording.

Read from https://domain.eg/info/domain-registration-prices on 2026-09-29. A storefront read establishes the language, the currency and the figure the page printed that day. It does not establish support quality, uptime or what a renewal will cost next year.

Why it is on the Egypt page

The registry itself: Domain EG (Supreme Council of Universities) sells .com.eg directly on this page, outside its list of registrars.

How the Egypt storefronts were read

Eight storefronts were opened: the registry's own price page and seven of the entities on its accredited list (the ministry was not). The registry, EgyHosting and ECIT print .com.eg in Egyptian pounds (845, 900 and 1100 a year) but none states VAT, so none can be ranked. TE Data and Vodafone returned HTTP 502; Link Datacenter, TAG-Domains and the e& link print no .com.eg price. On 2026-10-14 the one remaining entity on the list, the ministry, was opened: its site sells no domains, so the list has now been read end to end.
