Porkbun is the only registrar in our seven-registrar tracker whose pricing we have verified against the registrar's own published page. Pricing is flat across the term — first-year and renewal prices match on most TLDs — which removes the bait-and-switch dynamic of registrars that advertise low promo first-year pricing then mark up renewals. WHOIS privacy is on by default at no charge, two-factor authentication uses TOTP, and the public API covers registration, DNS, and account workflows.

Pricing transparency

Every TLD we verified on porkbun.com/products/domains shows registration, renewal, and transfer prices side-by-side in the same table. Renewal prices on .com ($11.08), .net ($12.52), .org ($10.74), .uk/.co.uk ($5.66), .de ($4.07), and .us ($7.00) match the first-year price on the same row — no first-year discount lock-in. (source)

WHOIS privacy

WHOIS privacy is included free of charge on all eligible TLDs and is enabled by default at registration. Porkbun does not list a paid privacy upsell. (source)

Two-factor authentication

Account login supports TOTP (Authy, Google Authenticator, 1Password) plus optional SMS fallback. Hardware security keys are not currently listed in account settings. (source)

Authoritative DNS is included free of charge. Supported record types include A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, NS, SRV, CAA, TLSA, SSHFP, HTTPS, SVCB, and ALIAS (provider-side flattening of an apex CNAME). DNSSEC can be enabled in the dashboard. (source)

Porkbun retails 10 of the 17 ccTLDs we cover in our country guides: .us, .uk, .co.uk, .ca, .de, .in, .co.in, .nl, .au, .com.au. They do not list .fr, .sg, .com.sg, .co.il, .org.il, .net.il, or direct .il. .ca registration goes through the CIRA Canadian Presence Requirements declaration; .au registration enforces the auDA presence check.
