AI visibility
No probe has run yet. When it does, this page shows, month by month, on how many of the 416 questions on /questions/ each generative engine cites this site, which domains it cites instead, and the raw answers. It is published whether or not the numbers flatter the site: a scoreboard that only appears when it is good is not a scoreboard.
Method
Once a month, scripts/probe-ai-visibility.mjs sends every question in the question universe to each engine that offers a web-grounded API (Claude with web search, ChatGPT with web search, Perplexity, Gemini with Google Search grounding), and records the answer text and every URL the engine cited. Google AI Overviews and Copilot have no API and are probed by hand for a 40-question core set, logged in the same shape and marked as manual.
"Cited" means a URL on this site appears among the answer's citations. The position is its rank among the cited URLs. The domains cited instead are counted across all answers, which is the list of who the engines trust for these questions today.
Engines change their retrieval and their models without notice, so a month-on-month move is only evidence when it holds for more than one engine and more than one question class.
