.fi
Last checked 2026-08-19Purpose: Finland's country code, the default identity for Finnish businesses and residents.
Eligibility: Open. Companies, organisations and private persons can register regardless of domicile. Names are assigned first come, first served.
None of the registrars we track sell .fi at retail — it's available only through registry-accredited registrars (see Local registry and rules above for the official list).
Traficom, the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency, operates the registry and publishes the registrar list. The domain must be registered to its actual holder; incorrect holder data may lead to removal. The registrant is responsible for making sure the name does not infringe a protected name or trademark.
