How the Hong Kong storefronts were read

Ten of the 49 registrars on HKIRC's list were opened in a real browser, taking the Hong Kong-based ones first. Seven were read; hkdns and 8hy.hk returned HTTP 502 and SeaArea refused the connection. HKDNR and Hosting Speed print a .hk price in Hong Kong dollars; Hong Kong has no VAT, so the printed figure is the full price. Dataplugs prices .hk in US dollars. On 2026-10-14 the remaining 39 registrars on HKIRC's list that publish a website were opened, so every registrar on the list with a published website has now been tried: 34 were read, 5 could not be, and 0 more print a comparable .hk price.
