Can a member of the public buy a .co.il here?
Not established. That is not a No: it means at least one of the three things (Hebrew storefront, shekel pricing, .co.il offered) was not found on the page we read.

.co.il
What its page printed
Read in a browser on 2026-09-28. The registration page says domains can be bought "תחת יותר מ-80 סיומות, ובכללם דומיין ישראלי תחת הסיומת co.il" (under more than 80 extensions, including an Israeli domain under co.il). No public page prints a price; the cart prints VAT lines ("סה"כ לתשלום לפני מע"מ", "מע"מ") but no currency, and the search-to-order flow sits behind bot protection.
A read establishes what one page showed on one day. It is not a test of the registrar, its support, its uptime or its transfer process, and this site has run no such test on any of them.
Why it is not ranked
Hebrew storefront and .co.il on offer, but no public page prints a .co.il price or a currency, and the order flow that would show one sits behind bot protection (ShieldSquare) that this site does not bypass. A person reading it in a browser could record the price with its date.
How it describes itself
Calls itself "רשם מורשה של איגוד האינטרנט העולמי ICANN" (an accredited registrar of ICANN) and "חברת רישום הדומיינים הגדולה והוותיקה בישראל" (the largest and most established domain registration company in Israel).
What we noticed
The size claim is the company's own and is quoted as such. Nothing on this site establishes it, this site has not measured it, and no source here ranks Israeli registrars by size.
