.sk
Last checked 2026-08-19Purpose: Slovakia's country code, the standard identity for Slovak businesses.
Eligibility: Semi-restricted. The holder must have a postal address in an EU member state, an EEA state, an EFTA member state, or the United Kingdom, and must be able to demonstrate it on request. No Slovak address specifically is required.
None of the registrars we track sell .sk at retail — it's available only through registry-accredited registrars (see Local registry and rules above for the official list).
SK-NIC, a.s. operates the registry and publishes both the rules and the registrar list. Because the address requirement is provable on demand rather than checked up front, the practical risk is losing a domain later rather than being refused at purchase; keep a genuinely deliverable address on file.
